The Car is a 1963 Triumph TR4. I bought it as a running (drivable with a little work) car from a guy who restored an older triumph earlier in his life. [I think his wife saw what he bought and told him to get rid of it. He was smart to listen to his wife.] The car, prior to that, was owned by an idiot who tried to "restore" it using fiberglass and bondo. He rebuilt the engine which scares the crap out of me. He failed and stored it under a carport for 24 years. Because of that, the floor boards are still rusted out, there are loads of dirt dauber pods and wasp hives throughout the body and engine.
I had originally seen this car on craigslist by the above "restorer" a few months ago. I never got a hold of the owner and figured it was for the best. A few weeks later I saw the car back up on craigslist and decided that it was fate and that I had to have the car. So a few phone calls, a visit, and a lowball offer later and I had the Triumph.
